This kit improves cooling because the factory Heater hose routing bypasses the radiator (this is done to provide warm coolant quickly to the cabin heater). Many people make this worse by simply removing the heater core under the dash and then joing the lines together - this is a big no no as a large amounts of coolant NEVER goes through the radiator!!
