DUE TO VARIATIONS IN OIL PANS AND ASSOCIATED ITEMS - YOU MUST ALWAYS CHECK PICK UP TUBE TO OIL PAN CLEARANCE - MMR SUGGESTS 1/4" TO 3/8" . Trimming the oil tube spacer that attaches to the block may be necessary for correct pickup tube clearance and to prevent the pickup tube from contacting the inside of the oil pan and preventing the pan from seating correctly.
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR OIL PAN FOR DENTS!! NEVER REST YOUR ENGINE ON ANY OIL PAN!! DENTS WILL CAUSE YOUR ENGINE TO STARVE FOR OIL!
This is a fabricated oil pan, some warpage during manufacturing is normal, upon installation however the pan will flaten and seal properly!! When tightening start from center and work outwards in a cris/cross pattern.
