Installation notes:
Failure to properly install and seat the harmonic balancer fully can and will lead to crankshaft gear failure. MAKE SURE YOUR BALANCER IS PUSHED ON ALL THE WAY!!! If the gear is not compressed between the crankshaft and the harmonic balancer the gear will move back and forth violently until it cracks the key slot!!!!
The installation of Mustang Oil Pump Gears into a certain F150 housings will result in pump failure and possible engine damage. Be sure to properly identify your oil pump gears!
MMR Oil Pump gears feature LARGER than factory clearances, these clearances have been optimized for the superior material we have chosen and is purposely engineered into our gears. These increased clearances are much like a Factory Piston vs. a Aftermarket forged piston that require more clearance to improve the reliability in performance applications.
Gears/pumps must be lubricated with assembly lube prior to installation. We suggest choosing the assembly lube option below for best results and to protect your oil pump upon startup.
